Sketched on the spot and inspired by the beautiful sculpture at the Met Museum in New York, these illustrations are a testament to the the way artists can speak to us through the ages.
Sketched in the Charles Engelhard Courtyard, a sunny spot filled with lovely sculptures. The museum was about to close and the guards were pacing the gallery calling, "This gallery will close in five minutes!" I thought to myself, "That's just enough time." And a few moments later, Grace was on the pages of my sketchbook. I hope she brings you as much joy to contemplate as they did for me to draw them surrounded by 5,000 years of art in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
